Chocolate Week almost here

Isn't it chocolate week every week? Well it is in this house, but the official National Chocolate Week is in October and it is a time to learn more about chocolate - how it's made, current challenges, craft producers etc- and also a time to support independent and small chocolate producers.

Cocoa Runners have a craft chocolate fair next weekend (Oct 11th/12th) hosted at the Fidelio Cafe in Farringdon. It's free to enter and meet some craft chocolate producers in the market place then tickets for talks are available if you'd like to delve in deeper. https://cocoarunners.com/event/craft-chocolate-fair-entry-time-slots/

There are loads of independent craft chocolatiers I could rave about - Pump Street, The Chocolate Smiths, La Chocolatrice, Original Beans, Firetree, Melt but I'm going to choose 2 local ones to mention. The Secret Truffletier in Woolmer Green has a cafe and a chocolate shop and also does chocolate making workshops and afternoon tea experiences and Yvette's Chocolates, a long-standing trader on St Alban's Market. Yvette also has a chocolate shop in Potten End and offers workshops and crafts exquisite artisan chocolates.

Visit a chocolate shop that's local to you this month or book a workshop, bake something chocolatey or have your own chocolate tasting session to celebrate Chocolate Week.
